Back in August 2017, I went through a bad break up with my boyfriend and basically lost everything. I came home from work and found our apartment cleaned out and so was our joint bank account. I found myself out on the street with $238 in my pocket until the next payday. I went on craigslist and searched for rooms to rent and came across an ad that was different from the other ads. This ad did not sound like they were money hungry and it was very detailed, professional and it felt like home. I was very nervous about shared housing because I did not know what to expect being that it was a co-ed house. Ms. Martinez returned my phone call and I told her my story. She was very kind, empathetic, sincere and we met that day. I viewed the house and to my surprise, it was very clean and well maintained with the number of people (7) that lived there. The house was beautifully decorated, very cozy and I remember feeling relieved to see 4 refrigerators in the house to accommodate us comfortably. I felt at home right away. I completed the application and background check and Ms. Martinez worked out a payment plan that would fit in my budget so that I would be able to move in and I moved in the next day. I lived in the shared home for 2 years until I was able to purchase my own home. I will be eternally grateful for CHG and Ms. Martinez. Thank you for believing in me and providing me with a safe home with great housemates.

I transferred from Columbus Ohio in 2018 to the NW. It was mind-blowing to see the difference in the cost of living in Washington state. I was unfamiliar with shared housing until a friend mentioned it and told me to check into it. I was skeptical at first. I called on about 7 ads and viewed 5 rooms. I was so disappointed to find the homes were either filthy or did not look like the photos in the ads. I had just about given up until Ms. Kimberly returned my call. She seemed pleasant and very down to earth. I told her that I was not interested in a shared house because of the houses and people that I had already met and seen. She said she understood but to at least meet with her and give her a chance to view her home. Because she was professional and sounded sincere, I decided to meet with her, and we met that afternoon. She was right, her home surpassed all the other homes that I had previously seen. The home was exactly like the photos and even better in person. The house was nice, very neat and clean. I met 2 tenants who lived there and they seemed normal. lol. I had a really good feeling and decided to go for it. I moved in 2 days later and it turned out to be the best decision that I made. There was a total of 6 housemates and honestly, I hardly saw them but when we did get together we hung out in the common area watching a movie and even cooked meals together. I stayed for 10 months until I met a young lady and we eventually moved in together. I would highly recommend CHG to anyone who is looking to live in a nice, clean shared house.

Because of extenuating circumstances, I hit rock bottom financially and found myself living in my car for 5 months. I overheard a conversation about renting rooms and thought this was a genius idea. I got online and reached out to about 17 different ads. Ms. Kim was the only one who responded and she was kind and very professional. We spoke over the phone for about 10 minutes and I met her the next day to see the room. I brought the documents she had requested and I cleared the background check and was able to move in that evening. I was relieved to know there were house rules being there was 6 of us in the house. We all kept the house clean, and there was never any confrontation with the other housemates. I resided there for 13 months until I had to move back to Minneapolis to help care for my mom. I I made my best friends living in this house. Thank you for taking a chance on me and more importantly, thank you for providing the opportunity to live in a nice home with good people and a safe environment.
